Meg Allwein

For 20 years, I worked with an association of privately-held independent insurance agencies and brokerages in 35+ countries. As I built my skills and expertise in strategic planning, process development, public speaking, and leadership development, I also honed my sense of the values that are most important to me — independence, accountability, connection, and presence.

In 2020, I launched MWA Consulting because I wanted to be in control of my career in a way that felt more aligned with those values. The common thread in the work I do now is engaging with people who, like me, care deeply about the work they do, the people they work with, and the lives they lead.

As the “time whisperer” I use my superpowers of active listening, making order out of chaos, and getting things done to make a difference for “people-first” organizations. I approach challenges with curiosity and an unflagging dedication to quality. I believe honesty matters, details are important, and to be trusted is to be accountable.

I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Duke University and a master's degree in business from The Ohio State University. I am a music lover, a traveler, a hiker, a writer, and a mom. “Home” for me is both Ohio and North Carolina.
